Dinner Cruises in Casco Bay, Portland USA Today

portland maine dinner cruise

Come enjoy the sights and sounds of our lovely Casco Bay and the Portland skyline and working waterfront. The Portland Schooner Company operates two wooden sailboats -- windjammers -- out of Portland's Old Port. The company's Sails & Tails cruise allows you to see the Casco Bay sights and visit Cook Island for a lobster bake. Leaving mid-morning, the sailboat takes you to the island, where you'll have a meal, then return to Portland in the afternoon. On its Overnight Windjammer Excursion, which leaves in the afternoon and returns the next morning, the company serves a seafood dinner on board. We will visit to Wood Island Lighthouse and Biddeford Pool, OR back upriver, depending on conditions.

After your lobstering cruise is over, Maine Ocean Adventures will either create a dockside dinner with your catch, or you can take your fresh crustacean on the company's Sunset Cruise. The nighttime dinner cruise also has cheese plates and wine, and runs during May through October. This epic tour is the best way to take in the historic lighthouses, stone forts, and rocky islands that make Casco Bay a world-renowned destination. Our private cruises are perfect for a group of up to 6 guests on the Eleanor Hawkes and up to 12 passengers on the Calista Ann. For even more space, book the Calista Ann – she is the newest addition to the company, keeping with the style and intimacy that our brand represents. She is a classic Downeast Picnic boat and is a comfortable cocktail cruiser.
